Some
of our clients we have enjoyed being involved in include:

We have enjoyed building applications for many departments (store
development, merchandising, finance, business improvement) in the head
office of Australia's largest hardware supplier. With annual revenues
approaching 5 billion dollars (06/07), Tanzanite Software Solutions was used to
improve both reporting and business processes.

Tanzanite
Software Solutions was commissioned to design and develop a database
repository (SQL Server) used to store Victorian public transport information
(eg. stops, routes, timetables, places of interests...etc). The system
includes processes to import timetable data from various public transport
operators, and serves as the data source for both the Metlink Journey
Planner and website timetable information.
The system was also designed to
manage the resigning of public transport stops (train, tram and bus stops)
within Victoria. It utilizes the collection of data (including
photographs) using PDA's, which is then synchronized with the SQL Server database.

One of the largest private health insurance companies in Australia,
medibank Private, used the services
of Tanzanite Software Solutions to revamp an existing database
application, resulting in an impressive new 'look and feel' and many new
features.

Tanzanite
Software Solutions was responsible for the following projects in Telstra:
-
The
design, development, testing, deployment and training of a system which is used by up to 50 concurrent users. Utilizing SQL Server 2000 as
a backend database, Visual Basic (VB6.0) for the front end processing
application, and MS Access 2000 as the administration and reporting tool,
the database was setup in Sydney, with front end users in Perth, Melbourne
and Sydney.
-
Upgrading
of VB3.0 applications to VB6.0. These applications interfaced with the Telstra mainframe
billing system and departmental MS Access databases.
-
Analysis
and reconciliation of data between Telstra MS Access system, Telstra
Billing system (mainframe), and five external (to Telstra) organizations.
Data transfer was via text files and MDB’s. This process required
communicating with 5 external service providers to supply data in a
specified format (text file), and extracting data from the Telstra
mainframe. Reconciliation of the data was carried out using a custom
written program (in Access 97) after which any necessary system updates
would be performed.
-
Consolidation of the
functionality of over 5 VB applications into 2 existing VB applications.
-
Improving
the ease of operability and data processing efficiency of a VB application
which interfaced with the Telstra mainframe billing system and
departmental MS Access databases. By building an application in MS Access
which interfaced which the appropriate applications, acting as a 'control
centre', the project was completed and responsibilities of two staff
members were effectively replaced.

The
Department of Human Services recognize
the value in having custom built software applications. That is why they
normally have some one on-site with the necessary professional skills to
develop MS Access database solutions, according to their specific needs.
However, when their workload and time frames were too much for one person to
handle, Tanzanite Software Solutions was contacted to help them out. A custom
built MS Access was remotely developed that now enables the Department of
Human Services to efficiently manage bookings for forum discussions, orders
for legislative papers, correspondence from key people...and much more.

When the Australian Communications Authority decided to auction over 2 million
1300, 1800 and 13 numbers, Tanzanite Software Solutions was commissioned to
design and build a system that would categorize and set a reserve price to all
the auctionable numbers (using stringent business rules). The data would then
be sent to the auction web site using XML.

Developed a
MS Access database to report on ticket validations on every bus trip
throughout their entire network.

When
AMS required specialist MS Access skills for a specific project, they called
upon the services of Tanzanite Software Solutions. Working with both AMS and
their client, the project involved modifications to existing MS Access and VB
applications. As the applications were responsible for over $10million of
transactions every month it was crucial that we followed a strict plan of analysis,
design, development, testing, system integrating, deployment, and all backed
up by detailed documentation.

With
more than 250 employees (and growing), Kozma Industries needed to seriously do
something about their countless numbers of spreadsheets, and shelves of folders
containing human resources details such as annual leave, sick leave, skill
sets, work care...etc. They were quick to realise that no 'off the shelf'
software package could look after all their requirements, so they turned to
Tanzanite Software Solutions for help. All was effectively replaced with a
customised MS Access system.
We have since gone
on to build several other smaller MS Access
applications for purposes such as KanBan administration, maintenance of
equipment, analysis of production scrap.

When
the operations manager of The Bean Alliance needed a more sophisticated system (compared to their
accounting package) to administer the servicing details of their clients
coffee machines and grinders, he turned to Tanzanite Software Solutions for
help. The Bean Alliance now have a very impressive and functional MS Access
system which not only makes their life more productive and efficient, but also
impresses their clients with detailed reporting.

Coomes
consulting group pty ltd
When
the surveying department of Coomes Consulting Group needed a more efficient method to administer the
water and sewer asset recording details, they used the services of Tanzanite
Software Solutions to put together an MS Access system that is now making
their time more efficient and productive.

When
the IT staff of Westlink consulting have too much work to handle, they call
upon Tanzanite Software Solutions for help. By using the phone and email, we
were able to understand their requirements, and supply them with an MS Access
application that connects to a larger database of one of their clients, and
provide Westlink staff with summarised data in a format they more readily
understand.

Tanzanite
Software Solutions was called upon to supply an MS Access database that would
record and summarise survey information for an important client of The
Allen Consulting Group. Yet another satisfied customer....

Tanzanite
Software Solutions was called upon to help Hydac
(Australian office) 'clean
up' their products database, and help create a price list application that
would be distributed to their customers.
sirius
research
When
Sirius Research needed help developing an MS Excel application that would be
used by the reps of a national pharmaceutical company demonstrating to
Doctors, they called upon Tanzanite Software Solutions. An interactive Excel
application was developed that is more like an PowerPoint slide show than a
spreadsheet. Full of colour, menu buttons, graphs and figures, the
pharmaceutical reps are able to use this tool to help get their message
across.
the
toolroom
It
was time The Toolroom looked at replacing their directories full of
spreadsheets for their quotes and project management information. So they
turned to Tanzanite Software Solutions. A customised MS Access application was
built which now manages everything including
automation
of quotation process, quotation history analysis, project operations set up
and analysis, process routing recording and analysis, projected resource
utilization…and more.
